PRP (Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program)
The psychiatric rehabilitation program (PRP) is a mental health program in place to help individuals with long-term psychiatric disabilities achieve set goals. The program will help individuals establish ways to cope and adapt to barriers created by their mental health symptoms.
Individuals in this program will learn social skills, self-care, self- advocacy, and conflict resolution tactics. Services will be conducted at the individuals home, school and community.
Peer support activities will be held to focus on communication, interpersonal relationships, mindfulness, personal growth, trust and healing. The support group will engage in educational and team building activities.
In order to participate in this program individuals must meet the following criteria :
- Be at least five years old
- Have a Mental Health diagnosis (severe emotional , mental or behavioral)
- Be in therapy and remain in treatment to continue eligibility for PRP
- Be eligible for Medical Assistance
